the pompanuck store resembles a small grotto, part of the earth-sheltered, back wall of the Round House. Inside it glitters with colorful items for sale. Many of the products we offer in the store are designed and constructed using found and recycled materials. We up-cycle old towels into industrial strength pot holders, discarded paper mill tubes and birch bark into storage canisters along with home grown, fragrant herbs and fabric scraps made into lovely sachets. We also have artisan hearth baked breads and cookies to order or for special occasions and we offer Pompanuck Maple Syrup in a variety of grades and beautiful, one-of-a-kind gift boxes and wrapping paper made at Pompanuck by artists of diverse ages. The popular Pompanuck T-Shirt is printed by a not for profit organization that trains formerly homeless and disabled people in the skill of screen printing. As well, some of our store offerings are made by distant artisans creating with recycled materials.

The store's earnings support educational programs and our educational programs train people to learn indigenous and new crafts so that we can continue to supply the store with functional, hand made items.
